Today we start our holiday gifts from the kitchen and more! The push toward Christmas is here and I am very excited about what we have to share with you this year. You would think that we would run out of ideas, but I just keep getting more and more inspiration from year to year from different places and, of course, from all of you!.
This homemade milk chocolate is super simple and delicious and can be made from things you most likely already have in your pantry. Coconut oil (not shortening, that won't work here) cocoa powder, dry milk powder (or not if you like dark chocolate) powdered sugar, salt and vanilla. The rest is up to you. Do you like Mexican style chocolate? Add a teaspoon of cinnamon. Like it spicy? Toss in a scoop of chili powder and some red pepper flakes. How about candied orange peel or toffee bits? The combinations are endless and they are all up to you!
I have also shared how I would package these for gift giving with friends and neighbors. You make them look however you like, the important thing is that the gift comes from your heart, the sentiment will be felt by whomever you give this to!
